Syrian delegation visits PU, asks for academic cooperation
LAHORE : A high-level Syrian delegation led by Deputy Minister of Education Dr Rami Waheed Al Dhulli visited Punjab University here on Saturday and called on Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood at his office.
The Syrian delegation consisted of senior officials of the Ministry of Education and educational personalities while Regional Director of HEC Ghafoor Ahmed and other officials were also present in the meeting. Dr Rami Waheed Al Dhulli said that he wanted practical measures to promote educational relations between the two countries. He said that educational experts of both countries should promote academic cooperation with each other.
He said that Syria wanted to benefit from the research and experiences of PU teachers. He said that they wanted to promote cooperation with PU in the field of education and training, especially information technology. We want to send the thesis of Syrian students to Pakistani experts for their evaluation. Syrian people love Pakistan very much, he said. Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood briefed the delegation on Punjab University. He said that as many as 150 students from Africa, Palestine, Iran and other countries were studying in Punjab University.
