Driver involved in hit-and-run arrested

Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a driver for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run killing case.
The arrested driver had allegedly crushed and killed a sensitive agency officer under his trailer three days ago in the Mauripur area. According to a spokesperson for the District Keamari police, the arrested driver, Bakht Zameen, alias Sarzameen, was driving a trailer truck with excessive speed when he ran the officer over on Mauripur Road and fled the scene after the accident.
An FIR No 89/24, under the sections 320 and 279 of the Pakistan Penal Code was registered against the driver. The trailer truck has been seized and legal proceedings have been initiated against the apprehended suspect.
