Drug pusher held after clash

NOWSHERA: An alleged drug pusher was arrested in injured condition after an exchange of fire with the police at Babu Garhi area in Pabbi tehsil in the district.

The police said that the accused Khalid, who was wanted by the Peshawar, Nowshera and Punjab police in a number of cases, opened fire on the police party when the cops raided his den. The cops also returned fire, injuring the accused. He was taken to Mian Rashid Hussain Shaheed Hospital in Pabbi. He was wanted by the Peshawar and Nowshera police in connection with nine drug cases. The police said that ice drugs and a pistol were recovered from the accused.
