Trained graduates offered jobs at recruitment drive
PESHAWAR: A job fair was arranged here on Tuesday for over 300 graduates who had been trained in E-Commerce Data Analytics, App Development and Cloud Computing.
The recruitment drive, hosted at the CECOS University, had graduates drawn from various institutions across KP, including Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar, said a communication.
Sustainable Energy and Economic Development (SEED) had organized the event in partnership with Change Mechanics, Adam Smith and LMKT.Over 30 potential employers took on desk interviews and offered internship/ job opportunities to the trained graduates.
The recruitment drive was followed by a graduation ceremony wherein certificates were distributed among the trainees. The upcoming projects were shared as well.Asim Ishaq Khan, Director, Innovation, LMKT, laid stress on youth empowerment, especially in the tech sector.
“We aim at transforming KP into a digital hub. The project DECODE focused on providing digital skill development among youth and provide them with potential job opportunities. Not only this but the e-commerce course has enabled the youth to initiate their startups,” he added.
SEED Adviser Taimoor, Sayyed Ahmad Masood, CEO of Change Mechanics/ Director NIC Islamabad said more projects would be tailored as well according to the job market and trainees would be funded to get certifications free of cost.The trainees shared success stories and told the audience about their startups. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates.
