LAHORE:Partly cloudy and dry weather was recorded in the city here on Sunday while Met office predicted similar weather with chances of scattered rain during the next 24 hours. Met officials said continental air was prevailing in most parts of the country while a shallow westerly wave was approaching upper parts.
They predicted that mainly dry weather was expected in most parts of the country while, hot in southern parts while, light rain-wind/thunderstorm was likely in south Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, north Balochistan and Kashmir. However, drizzle/gusty winds were expected at isolated places in Pothohar region and central/north Punjab during evening/night.
Rainfall was recorded at some cities including Muzaffarabad, Rawlakot, Malam Jabba, Dir, Pattan, Saidu Sharif, Parachinar, Drosh, Balakot and Murree. Sunday’s highest maximum temperature was recorded at Jacobabad and Shaheed Benazirabad where mercury reached 38°C while in Lahore it was 35°C and minimum was 20.8°C.
