Sharjeel commends crackdown on narcotics dealers
Hyderabad: Sindh Senior Minister for Information and Excise & Taxation Sharjeel Inam Memon on Saturday commended the efforts of the police and narcotics control personnel against the narcotics dealers.
He stressed that drug dealers were poisoning the new generation, and they would not be forgiven in any way. People from all walks of life must come forward for a drug-free society, he added.
Memon's instructions for a crackdown on drug dealers are being implemented in different districts of Sindh and 56 suspected drug peddlers have already been arrested during the ongoing crackdown.
The law enforcers seized 10 kilogrammes of hashish, 28 grammes of heroin, five grammes of ice, 1,036 litres of locally made liquor, and large quantity of gutka from the possession of arrested persons.
In Badin, 27 drug peddlers have been arrested and booked. The police of Dadu district have arrested 29 drug dealers, including a woman.
