Man shot dead in Haripur

HARIPUR: A man has shot dead his host over an unknown dispute in urban limits of TIP Housing society, police officials said on Friday.

TIP police officials quoted Kulsoom Jabran, a resident of house No 370, Road 7, as saying that she was home with her husband Sohail Jabran, an industrial worker, when a man later identified a Samar, a resident of village Pharhala, came to their guest room at around 9.30pm on Thursday night.

“My husband took some water to the guest and after a few minutes I rushed to the guestroom hearing gunshots and found my husband injured and the man was leaving the guestroom holding a pistol in his hands,” the complainant told the police.

She added that her injured husband told her that the attacker was Samar but could not share more details. The injured was shifted to the Trauma Centre from where the doctors referred him to the Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad. However, he succumbed to head injuries before reaching the tertiary care hospital.The police have registered murder case against the accused but he could not be arrested.
