DC office, sports dept to hold CM Pink Summit

LAHORE: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore Office and Punjab Sports Department will collaborate to organise Chief Minister Punjab Pink Summit with an aim to empower women across various domains, including sports, business and administrative leadership. This collaborative effort underscored a concerted push to create ample opportunities for women to thrive and excel.

In this regard, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Faisal Ayub Khokhar and Deputy Commissioner Lahore Rafia Haider had a meeting at National Hockey Stadium on Friday.Speaking on this occasion, Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that a diverse range of events and activities such as the Pink CEO Conference, Art and Craft Workshops, Youth Conference, Freelancing Summit etc will be organised in the CM Punjab Pink Summit. “These multifaceted engagements are designed to foster an environment conducive to the holistic development of women in the society,” he added.

He said that the preparations for the CM Punjab Pink Summit have commenced with a comprehensive strategy in place to ensure women are provided opportunities across all sectors, with a particular emphasis on sports.

He commended the Deputy Commissioner Office, particularly its Strategic Reform Unit, for spearheading crucial initiatives for youth development. He lauded the exemplary work being done in youth empowerment, sports promotion, as well as literature and cultural enrichment by the DC Lahore.
