KARACHI: Gold prices in the local market fell by Rs900 per tola on Friday, retreating from record highs, tracking a decline in the international market.
The All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association data showed that gold rates in the local market decreased to Rs240,200 per tola. Similarly, the 10-gram gold price also fell by Rs772 to Rs205,932.
Globally, gold rates edged down by $5 to $2,306 per ounce. Silver rates remained unchanged at Rs2,650 per tola. The price of 10-gram silver also stood the same at Rs2,271.94. The fall in gold prices comes amid a broader downturn in precious metals, with investors eyeing economic indicators for future direction.
