PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has handed over his government’s recommendations to the federal government for inclusion in the proposed 10-year National Flood Protection Plan.
The plan is being prepared by the Ministry of Water and Power in consultation with the Ministry of Climate Change and provincial governments said a handout. An official statement said the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa compiled recommendations in consultations with different departments and stakeholders.
Besides others, the chief minister Balochistan, federal secretaries for water and power and climate change and high ups of all the four provinces were present at the meeting when Pervez Khattak handed over the federal authorities his government’s recommendations on Wednesday.He also briefed the participants about the salient features of the recommendations, situation in KP and the threats posed by climate change to the province.
