KARACHI: Sindh police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon on Tuesday held a review meeting of the ongoing operation in the Kutcha areas. He also reviewed police actions, and the implementation of the orders and decisions against robbers in those areas. He also announced Rs500,000 and a certificate of appreciation for the SSP Kashmore.
Officials said IGP Memon chaired a follow-up meeting to review the actions taken on the decisions made in the last meeting regarding the implementation of the extraordinary strategy devised for the success of the operation against robbers in the Kutcha areas.
Through videoconferencing the DIGs of Sukkur and Larkana, and the SSPs of Sukkur, Shikarpur, Kashmore and Kandhkot gave separate briefings on the results and the successes of measures taken, such as intelligence-based operations. The meeting was also attended by the DIG Headquarters Sindh, the AIG Operations and the SSP Ghotki.
Memon announced a cash reward of Rs500,000 and a CC-1 certificate for the SSP Kashmore for his outstanding performance during a police encounter with robbers.
