Foolproof security in Punjab on Youm–e-Ali

LAHORE:Punjab Police made foolproof security arrangements on the occasion of the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA) on Monday.
Some 24,000 cops led by RPOs, CPOs and DPOs provided foolproof security to participants of 812 majalis and 192 processions across the province. More than 5,000 cops were deployed for the security of the participants of processions and majalis in Lahore.
The participants were allowed to join the processions only after thorough checking by the security mechanism based on 3 tiers. According to Punjab Police spokesman, 27 processions and 62 majalis of A category were held across the province.
