Check if PTI founder has security concerns: LHC CJ

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) while calling arguments on the next hearing on maintainability of the petition against non-provision of complete security to the PTI founder in jail has remarked PTI founder has earlier been attacked too and we cannot afford any further big incidents. The petition came up for hearing before Chief Justice (CJ) Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan of LHC for hearing on Friday.

Advocate General (AG) Punjab Khalid Ishaq while objecting to the maintainability of the petition said he would summon report on security concerns of the PTI founder despite having AN objection to the petition. May he be the PTI founder or Allah Ditta their security is our responsibility.

CJ LHC Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan remarked we can not afford any major accident further. First Liaqat Ali Khan was martyred and then Benazir Bhutto was martyred. PTI founder has earlier been attacked too. Check if he has security concerns and at what level. AG Punjab said this petition can be heard in the Rawalpindi bench and not in the principal seat.

The court while directing counsel for the PTI founder to give arguments on the maintainability of the petition on the next hearing adjourned the hearing of the case till April 3.
