Deadly strings

At least three people have died in incidents involving kites over the past month or so. The latest victim appears to be a 22-year-old man who lost his life while riding his motorcycle as his throat was slit by a kite string. CCTV footage of the incident showed the victim falling on the road after sustaining the injury. The trauma of this incident will never be forgotten by the victim’s family. Kite flying is clearly a dangerous game.

However, the law-enforcement authorities appear to have turned a blind eye towards the problem. Swift action is needed to prevent further tragedies.
