Woman gunned down by abusive husband
An abusive man gunned down his wife in the Sachal area on Friday night. Police registered a case on Saturday and launched an investigation into the murder. FIR No. 529/24 was registered at the Sachal police station on the complaint of the victim’s son.
Suspect Aashiq Hussain was riding a motorbike near Sanobar Town on Friday night, when he shot his wife Latifa Bibi dead before speeding away from the crime scene. The deceased was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
The woman was a mother of six. Her husband often subjected her to severe beatings, which led her to relocate to Noor Mohammad Goth near Ahsanabad. A few days ago she had received death threats from her husband and his brothers, and they had also attacked her with a knife.
According to the complainant Safdar Hussain, his father Aashiq Hussain and his brothers Sajid and Sabir had gunned down his mother and fled the scene. None of the three suspects mentioned in the FIR has been arrested yet.
