APFTU observes Pakistan Day
LAHORE : Working class observed Pakistan Day under the aegis of All Pakistan Federation of Trade Unions (APFTU) at Bakhtiar Labour Hall on Saturday and paid tribute to the services of the Father of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam and those who struggled for the establishment of Pakistan.
Khurshid Ahmad, General Secretary of the Federation, stressed the need to make an effective struggle for establishment of a society based upon equality and fraternity. “We should also work for elimination of rising poverty and ignorance and unemployment and irrational gap between the rich and poor”.
Osama Tariq, Nosher Khan, Syed Salah-ud-Din, Akbar Ali Khan, Jamil Butt, Javed Khan, Hassan Munir Bhatti, Haji Liaqat Ali, Mehar Jamil, Ijaz Pehlwan Salma Yasmin, Zahida Akhtar, and other representatives of the federation also addressed the meeting.
