12 held in search operation

PHOOLNAGAR: Police on Monday conducted a search operation in various areas here and arrested 12 accused and recovered weapons from them.

Talking to media here, Kasur DPO Ali Nasir Rizvi said that the search operation was conducted at Habibabad, Dhana Chak, Alipur, Chak No 6, Karaniwala, Saijowal and Karamabad and the areas were completely sealed. He said that 250 houses were thoroughly checked and 40 suspects were interrogated. He said that 12 accused were arrested during the search operation and four illegal weapons and bullets were recovered from them. He said that two POs of A category and two drug peddlers were also nabbed while four FIRs under the National Action Plan were registered against the accused persons. He said that a flag march was also conducted in different areas.
