ISLAMABAD: During the hearing of a case related to a private housing society in the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice remarked on Wednesday that the DHA people are doing a simple business, they should earn money but should not involve martyrs, according to Geo News.

An SC bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa heard the case of transfer of land of a private housing society in which the DHA’s lawyer gave arguments in the court.

The DHA lawyer said that DHA gives plots to the heirs of martyrs and injured in the war. Justice Irfan Saadat questioned on this whether DHA works only for martyrs. The DHA counsel replied that the project also has commercial plots. At this, the CJP remarked that the DHA people are doing a simple business as they should earn money but should not involve martyrs.

The CJP added that they have seen this game many times as there are three main characters in this case — Pervez Musharraf, Parvez Elahi and a private housing society, and remarked these are the real owners of Pakistan.

The CJP questioned what authority the chief minister had to allot the land. He said that the East India Company did not do what the CM was doing.

He said that these people are very powerful and have bought everything. The Chief Justice has also directed to conduct this case live.
