LAHORE:The University of Health Sciences (UHS) conducted the Master of Surgery in Ear, Nose, and Throat (MS ENT) final exit exams on Monday. For the first time, the result was released a few hours after the exam. According to the notification, 13 candidates from seven post-graduate medical institutions appeared in the MS ENT (Central Induction Scheme) final examination out of which four passed and nine failed.

Moreover, one out of two candidates passed in MS ENT under the revised scheme from the Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Lahore. Under a new policy, UHS is conducting postgraduate examinations internally this year, with a focus on impartiality and neutral examination venues. UHS Vice-Chancellor Prof Ahsan Waheed Rathore hailed the swift release of results as a pivotal achievement, emphasising the importance of transparency and the university's commitment to aligning with international standards. ‘With over 750 examinations conducted annually, UHS has revamped its examination department to enhance the quality and integrity of assessments, drawing inspiration from global best practices while catering to local needs’, he added.
