Two held over illegal currency business

LAHORE: Following the directives of Director FIA Lahore zone Sarfaraz Virk, a team of FIA arrested two accused involved in illegal currency exchange.
Under the supervision of Deputy Director Corporate Crime Circle Lahore Sikandar Hayat, the FIA team arrested accused M Abid and Waqas Ahmed from a flat situated in Davis Road. Foreign currency was recovered from the possession of the accused.
The FIA team recovered 21,770 Saudi Riyals, 15,805 UAE Dirhams, $12,100, 100 Danish Krone and Rs7 million, mobile phones, reference hundi registers, receipts and other evidence from the accused. According to the FIA spokesperson, accomplices of the accused would also be arrested soon.
