120kg of hashish recovered

BARA: The police on Wednesday recovered 120 kilograms of hashish from a car while the alleged drug peddlers managed to escape.
A spokesperson for the police said that the Bara Police Station SHO, Hardam Gul Afridi, acting on a tip-off, started checking vehicles in the Sipah area in Bara tehsil. He said that the cops during checking signalled a suspicious motor car to stop. However, he said, the driver didn’t heed to the signal and sped away. The peddlers, he said, abandoned the vehicle after being chased and managed to escape.The cops recovered 120 kgs of hashish from the secret cavities of the car, he added.The police registered the case and launched an investigation.
