Young doctors get separate parking at LGH

LAHORE: The administration of Lahore General Hospital (LGH), Lahore, has allocated separate parking for young doctors.

Ameeruddin Medical College Principal Prof Dr Muhammad Al-Fareed Zafar inaugurated the valet parking and said with this initiative doctors will reach their duty without any interruption. Principal Nawaz Sharif Medical College Gujarat Prof Dr Ajmal Farooq and President YDA LGH/PINS Dr Haseeb Thind were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, Dr Thind said this parking service would provide space for around 150 vehicles of young doctors and it is the first time such a service has been introduced in any government setup across the province.

There are no charges for this facility for doctors, but stickers are required to be applied to the vehicles which can be obtained at any time from the parking committee LGH. He said valet parking has been formally inaugurated after clearing the area between the LGH Gate No 2 and 3 of ambulance mafia.

He said more efforts will be made for the welfare of patients and health professionals. He lauded efforts of parking committee members Dr Waheed Ahmed Vatto, Dr Ali Imran Butt and Dr Waseem Subhan.
