District emergency centres to be linked with PDMA
LAHORE: PDMA Director-General Irfan Ali Kathia chaired a meeting of the Authority and ordered linking district emergency centres with the PDMA. Director Operations Nisar Sani briefed the DG on the working of the PDMA. The DG issued instructions to make District Emergency Centers functional on regular basis.
Scattered rain forecast
Partly cloudy and dry weather was recorded in the City here on Tuesday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions with chances of scattered rain during the next 24 hours. Met officials warned that heavy rainfall may cause flash flooding in local nullah’s of Gwadar, Ketch, Turbat, Panjgur while snowfall may disrupt traffic flows in northern parts of Balochistan. Tuesday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Leh where mercury dropped to -07°C, while in Lahore, it was 12.2°C and maximum was 27.4°C.
