BU awards 970 degrees to graduates

Islamabad: Bahria University hosted its 26th convocation from March 2 to 4, celebrating the academic achievements of its graduates across various disciplines. The three-day convocation ceremony witnessed the academic endeavors as degrees were conferred upon the graduates of Humanities & Social Sciences, Business & Management, Law, Psychology and Engineering & Applied Sciences Programmes, says a press release.

The Executive Director of HEC, Rector Bahria University, and Vice Chancellor of Air University graced the occasion as chief guests. They conferred total of 970 degrees, 66 gold medals and 61 Silver medals to the accomplished students of PhD, masters, and undergraduate programmes, acknowledging their dedication and hard work.

Speaking on the occasion Executive Director HEC Dr. Zia Ul-Qayyum offered heartiest congratulations to all the graduating students. He appreciated the mutual and collective efforts of students and BU faculty in achieving their goal through hard work and dedication. He also congratulated the teachers and parents whose efforts and continuous support had played a key role in making this journey a success.

Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral (r) Asif Khaliq HI(M) emphasised on today’s need of preparing students for the national as well as international market to become valuable citizens of the country and the world. He further added that Bahria University has gone all out for improvement in academic infrastructure, faculty development and, established linkages with foreign universities. These arrangements afford numerous academic benefits such as joint research, student exchange and need based scholarships.

Vice Chancellor Air University Air Marshal (r) Javaid Ahmed HI(M) congratulated the graduating students and the faculty for their tireless efforts and was pleased to inform of the academic collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Bahria University and Air University, which will pave the way for enhanced research opportunities, academic exchange programmes, and collaborative initiatives, further enriching the educational landscape and fostering innovation.

The Director General (DG) Islamabad campus, Rear Admiral (r) Zaka ur Rehman HI(M) stated that Bahria University’s learning model immerses its students into a transformational experience that transcends the acquisition of knowledge skills, and tools that fosters professional, intellectual and personal development.

The 26th convocation at Bahria University stands as a testament to the institution’s commitment to nurturing talent, fostering academic excellence, and shaping future leaders across various fields.
