ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will announce its decision in a contempt of court case against the deputy commissioner Islamabad on Friday.
The court has withdrawn a second show-cause notice issued to the DC due to his absence from court. It however rejected his plea for exemption from attendance in the court.
The miscellaneous petition of the DC Islamabad came up for hearing before Justice Babar Sattar of the IHC on Tuesday. The DC appeared along with his counsel Raja Rizwan Abbasi.
The court said the presence of the accused on the day of decision was a must. The exemption plea is dismissed. “Only two to three days are left. You can go abroad doubtlessly after Friday. The case decision will be announced on March 1.”
