Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced to suspended water supply to various sectors of Islamabad due to necessary maintenance work on Saturday (today) and Sunday (tomorrow),
An official of Water Supply Directorate on Friday said water filtration plant at Simly Dam will remain shut for 24 hours from Saturday while main conduction line will also be changed.
The sectors to be effected due to suspension of water supply include G-6, G-7/2, F-6, F-7, F-8, G-9/2, G-9/3 and G-9/4. The consumers have been advised make less use of water so that they should not have to face water shortage.
Meanwhile, the water supply from Khanpur Dam to different sectors would also remain suspended till end of this month due to de-silting of Khanpur canal. After stopping water supply, the water supply directorate made alternate arrangements from Simly Dam for sectors G-10, G-11, F-10 and F-11 from 15th of this month due to start of de-silging of Khanpur canal.
