NOWSHERA: KP Chief Minister-designate Ali Amin Gandapur said on Thursday ending unemployment, price-hike, lawlessness, and pulling the province out of crises were his priorities.
He said this while talking to a delegation of the members of the Nowshera Press Club.
Gandapur talked of the KP royalty on natural electricity and natural gas produced in the province.
“We will get KP rights from the Centre and make the province self-sufficient,” explained the newly elected legislator from Dera Ismail Khan who has been named by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan for chief minister’s slot.
Gandapur said instead of confrontation, the new KP government would prefer talks to resolve issues with the federal government.
The chief minister-designate was appreciative of the PTI workers and said they had brought about a revolution in KP, Punjab, and other parts silently by electing their representatives to the assemblies in the recent general elections.
Gandapur said the masses in KP, Punjab, and at the Centre had voted for the PTI candidates but were pushed back through rigging.
He said the next provincial government would give proper treatment to all districts of KP. “Resources will be spent for the uplift of the less developed areas of the province,” he added.
Court also observed that it would not intervene in the policy matters of the government
