Couple killed for ‘honour’ in Kolai-Palas
MANSEHRA: A girl and young man were killed for ‘honour’ in the Burparo area of Kolai-Palas district, police officials said on Thursday.They said the incident happened in the jurisdiction of the Paro Police Station where a man with the help of his two sons allegedly killed his daughter and a boy who had sneaked into their house.
The girl’s family locked both slain inside one of the rooms in their house and opened fire on them, killing both of them on the spot.The police shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital in Pattan, the district headquarters of Lower Kohistan.
They handed them over to their respective families following completion of the medico-legal
formalities.The police officials said that the ages of both slain were in their early 20s.The police arrested the father of the slain girl while raids were underway for the arrest of his two sons, who managed to flee after the incident.
