Islamabad: Riphah International University organised a poster design competition for school and college students of twin cities here on Tuesday.
More than 80 schools and colleges participated in this competition. The event aimed to highlight the dangers to life under the sea. The purpose of the poster design competition was to create awareness regarding the significance of ocean life and its influence on the planet at a grassroots level. Students from junior and senior classes enthusiastically participated in the competition, using vibrant colours to create paintings and drawings centred around the theme of 'protecting life under the sea.'
Oceans are our planet’s life support, providing water, food, and helping regulate the weather. The importance of the ocean and the resources it provides to all of us are emphasized, educating participants about actions they can take to keep our seas clean. It is the primary responsibility of the government, policymakers, and educational institutions to raise awareness about the protection of underwater life. Teaching our future generation to understand what problems affect the ocean's health must be our first step towards addressing the challenges facing ocean health. For this purpose, Riphah International University organised the uplifting, energizing, and exciting event.
