MANSEHRA: A man killed his wife over a domestic issue in the upper Sundi area here on Friday.

Abdul Razzaq, according to the first information report, exchanged harsh words with her wife and opened fire on her, leaving her seriously injured.She was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Shinkiari where doctors pronounced her dead.

The body was handed over to her family after doctors completed the medico-legal formalities.The police after lodging the FIR started an investigation to arrest the suspect, who managed to flee after the firing. Meanwhile, five people sustained injuries when a pickup vehicle collided with a wagon in the Kanat Pano area here.

The wagon, carrying passengers, was on its way to Mansehra from Shinkiari when its driver lost control over the steering as a result of which collided head with an upcoming pickup vehicle.

The Rescue 1122 personnel shifted the injured to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors referred two of them to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital in Abbottabad. The police after lodging the FIR started an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the incident.
