ISLAMABAD: Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Yusuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf are the four former prime ministers who have won the recent general elections of 2024 from their respective constituencies.
Whereas three former prime ministers Imran Khan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Chaudhary Shujaat did not participate in the recent general elections. Former President Asif Ali Zardari has also won election from his constituency.
The winning candidates of elections 2024 also include two former chief ministers from Punjab, four from Balochistan, three former chief ministers from Sindh and one from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the elections from their respective constituencies.
Liaqat Ali Jatoi, Murad Ali shah and Qaim Ali Shah won general elections of 2024 from their respective constituencies who served as chief minister Sindh.
Whereas former chief ministers from Punjab who have won the recent elections from their constituencies include Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shabaz. Whereas Pervaiz Elahi lost from his constituency who served as Punjab chief minister twice.
From Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, only Akram Khan Durrani who has served as chief minister won the elections from his constituency. Pervaiz Khatak, Mehmood Khan, Ameer Haider Khan, Mehtab Ahmad Khan and Aftab Ahmad Sherpao are those former chief ministers of KP who lost the general elections of 2024 from their constituencies.
In Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan, Sana Ullah Khan Zehri, Nawab Aslam Raisani and Muhammad Akhtar Mengal are the three former chief ministers who have secured seats from their respective constituencies in the recent elections.
Three former prime ministers Imran Khan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Chaudhary Shujaat did not participate in the recent general elections.
