Rickshaw driver held over taking away woman’s belongings

LAHORE : Safe City apprehended a rickshaw driver involved in stealing a woman's belongings after dropping her outside her house in the Ichhra area.

The victim had hired a rickshaw from MM Alam Road, Hussain Chowk. After reaching her house near Ichhra, she unloaded her belongings and went home. Taking advantage of the situation, the rickshaw driver fled with the remaining items, including a laptop.

The Safe City team traced the route. The details of the rickshaw involved in the theft, along with video footage and images, were provided to the investigation officer. The PSCA spokesperson stated that Ichhra Police arrested the rickshaw driver and recovered the stolen items.

Biker dies in road accident

A motorcyclist died in an incident of collision with a truck on Lytton Road.

The victim identified as Jahangir Khan, a resident of Sanda, was riding a bike. As he reached near Chauburji, he collided with a truck. The victim fell down, received injuries and died. His body was moved to morgue. The other incident was reported in Gulberg where a tractor trolley driver was injured. The victim was driving a tractor trolley. As it reached near Main Boulevard Gulberg, the vehicle collided with a Crossing Bridge. Resultantly, the driver was injured.

Three dacoits arrested

Raiwind City Police have arrested three members of a dacoit gang.

The arrested suspects were identified as M Arsalan, Kashan and Zeeshan. Police also recovered one motorbike, seven mobile phones and cash from their custody.

The suspects were involved in many incidents of robbery in different parts of the city.

Woman hit to death

A 25-year-old woman died after a speeding car hit the victim near Rehmanpura.

The victim was going somewhere on foot when a speeding car hit her. She received serious injuries.

Nearby people called rescue teams. They reached the spot on information and shifted her to hospital where doctors pronounced her death. The victim was identified as Sumera.
