Cop martyred in Regi attack

PESHAWAR: A policeman was martyred and another was injured when armed men opened fire on them near Bridge Koroona, Regi on Tuesday evening.
Reports said two constables Mursalin and Adnan sustained bullet injuries when unidentified armed men opened fire on them when they were going home after performing duty in the District Emergency Reserve Force of the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines.
The two wounded cops were shifted to hospital while a search operation was underway in the area. Six empties of 30 bore pistol were recovered from the spot. “One of the cop Mursalin Khan who received four bullets succumbed to injuries at hospital,” an official said. His funeral prayers were offered late Tuesday night at the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines.
