ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet Wednesday approved the reconstitution of committee on missing persons to be headed by the law minister. Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar chaired the cabinet meeting.
The committee lost its head after the resignation of interior minister Sarfraz Bugti. For construction of the Supreme Court Karachi Registry building, the cabinet approved the transfer of federal courts and tribunals across the city. The meeting approved the Cannabis Control and Regulatory Authority Ordinance 2024 and forwarded it to the cabinet committee for legislative cases. The meeting offered Fateha for the security officials who were martyred while protecting the polio eradication team in Bajaur. Kakar vowed to continue the anti-polio mission of the government till complete eradication of the crippling disease.
