Bilawal convinces Misbah to contest from PP-160

LAHORE:Former President of PPP Lahore Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman has been fielded from PP-160, a seat that falls under NA-127 from where PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is contesting.

Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman, former Chairman of SNGPL as well as a head of Lahore Gymkhana hails from a noted political family of Lahore. He is brother of former Mayor Lahore late Mian Shuja-ur-Rehman as well as uncle of PMLN leader Mian Mujtaba Shuja. He is also related to the family of former MNAs Pervaiz Malik, Shaista Pervaiz and Ali Pervaiz whereas his wife has also served as PPP MNA on reserved seats.

Misbah contested his last polls in 1997 from then NA-94 on PPP ticket and his son Umar Misbah also remained PPP ticket-holder from NA-122 in 2008. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari convinced Mian Misbah to contest in his panel and he has been fielded from PP-160, the seat that covers areas like Qainchi Amar Sadhu and adjoining areas.
