The nation is grappling with its worst economic downturn, marked by an inflation rate surpassing 28 per cent in FY23 and a staggering unemployment rate reportedly affecting over 5.6 million citizens. Professionals like doctors, nurses, engineers, IT experts, and accountants are leaving the country in droves.

This mass departure not only signifies a loss of valuable talent but also raises concerns regarding the root causes driving this phenomenon. Surviving in Pakistan seems contingent upon passing the public service commission exams. Sadly many of our public service commissions, particularly the Sindh Public Services Commission, are often plagued by delays, making them a precarious source of hope at best.
