LAHORE: The terrorists, who were killed in an encounter in Chiniot district couple of day ago, has been identified as members of terror outfit Tehreek-e-Talban Pakistan (TTP), the police said on Tuesday.
According to the spokesman, CTD carried out an operation in Chiniot area, as a result of which Ghazanfar Nadeem, involved in the killing of fifty people, including the attack on the Faisalabad office of ISI, was killed along with his an unknown accomplice.
The second terrorist killed has been identified as Younis, who belonged to the banned outfit TTP and was wanted by the Dera Ismail Khan police. He was identified with the help of Nadra records.
The CTD spokesman further said that Younis has been involved in several cases of terrorism in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He was also involved in the attack on Pak Army Camp Shikai. Apart from this, Younis’s record also includes incidents of communal target killing and high profile kidnappings, he concluded.
