CHARSADDA: Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat on Tuesday visited Charsadda and inaugurated the newly established ‘command and control centre’ at the City Police Station.
District Police Officer Nazir Khan briefed the IG regarding the Command & control centre equipped with the latest gadgets, including CCTV cameras and others.The IG was given a detailed briefing about various aspects of the newly established Police Command and Control Centre.
It was told that all the matters of police stations in Charsadda were being digitalised adding that police access service, token automation system, police stations record management system, media monitoring system, hotel watch, E-ticketing, women safety app and CDR system had been established in the command and control center.
The IG later visited the ‘Yadgar-e-Shuhada’ and prayed for the martyred cops and security of the country. He also visited the dispute resolution council.Speaking on the occasion, the IGP lauded the sacrifices of the police. He said that steps were being taken to maintain law and order in the wake of the recent terror incidents. He said that links to Tank and Dera Ismail Khan terror incidents had been traced.
