PTI leaders in Upper Chitral put behind bars
CHITRAL: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president for Upper Chitral Shahzada Sikandarul Mulk along with other party activists have been arrested and jailed for violating Section-144.
The Booni Police Station charged PTI provincial deputy general secretary Abdul Latif, district president Sikandarul Mulk, general secretary Alauddin Urfi, tehsil president Fazal Qadir alias Babar, village council chairman Mazharuddin, information secretary Afgan Raza, Chairman village council Kosht Irs_ha¯d, senior vice president Habibullah, councillor Sadiq ur Rahman, Shahidul Islam, and other members. They were arrested by the police and presented before the local court.
The local court, rejecting the bail application, issued orders for imprisonment. The arrestees were accused of violating Section 144 for meeting and chanting slogans along with former MNA Javed Akbar who was brought to Upper Chitral for a court hearing.
