MARDAN: Former speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser could not be released despite getting bail as Swabi police arrested him again under 3 MPO on Saturday, sources said.
Sources added that the former speaker of the National Assembly was granted bail on Saturday in connection with the May 9 attacks.
Judicial Magistrate Adil Misal approved Asad Qaiser’s bail against surety bonds of Rs90, 000.
Asad Qaiser was accused of vandalizing private property on May 9. PTI leader Asad Qaiser has been in Mardan jail for a week and was arrested after getting bail in a case registered in Parang Police Station in Charsadda. The source added that the release order of Asad Qaiser was sent to Mardan Jail.
The jail authorities said that Swabi deputy commissioner issued an order under 3 MPO and detained Asad Qaiser for one month.
