PMLN issues tickets for two NA seats in Mansehra
MANSEHRA: The parliament board of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) led by former premier Nawaz Sharif has confirmed tickets for two national assemblies’ constituencies of the district.
“Yes, tickets for two national assembly constituencies have been issued and the decision on five National Assembly constituencies still hangs in the balance,” Sardar Mohammad Yousuf the, PMLN central vice-president, told reporters here.
He said that the parliamentary board, which met with PMLN’s supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, confirmed awarded him a ticket for NA-14 Mansehra-I, and captain (retd) Mohammad Safdar for NA-15 Mansehra-cum-Torghar.
He said the board interviewed applicants for Mansehra’s five Provincial Assembly seats and the final list would shortly be made public.“This is a tough process as all those applied for tickets are part of the PMLN since long and some served the nation as lawmakers in the past. And I hope the entire exercise will be completed soon,” Yousuf said.
He added that the board interviewed all the candidates, who had applied for all seven national and 17 provincial assemblies’ constituencies of Mansehra, Torghar, Kolai-Palas, Upper Kohistan, Lower Kohistan, Abbottabad and Haripur districts during the stipulated period.
