Scattered rain predicted

LAHORE:Partly cloudy weather with smogy conditions was observed in the city here on Wednesday while Met office predicted scattered rain during the next 24 hours.

Met officials said a westerly wave was affecting upper parts of the country. They predicted that rain-wind/thunderstorm (with snowfall over the hills) was expected in Pothohar region, Islamabad, upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir while isolated hailstorm may also occur during the period.

They said smog/fog was likely in upper Sindh, plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Wednesday’s lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Leh where mercury dropped down to -05°C while in Lahore it was 12.5°C and maximum was 24.7°C.
