To observe World Fisheries Day, the National Institute of Maritime Affairs recently hosted an event centered on the theme, ‘Conservation Through Collaboration: Uniting to Develop Fishing Communities’. Sindh Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The occasion brought together stakeholders, experts, researchers, academics, and fishing communities to discuss sustainable practices, community development, and the crucial role of collaboration in preserving our fish resources and supporting fishing communities.
The event held at the Al Beruni Auditorium, Bahria University Karachi, commenced with a welcome note by Cdre (retd) Ali Abbas SI (M), director of the National Institute of Maritime Affairs and Vice Admiral (retd) Ahmed Saeed HI(M), director general of the National Institute of Maritime Affairs.
