66 held for overcharging

LAHORE
Price control magistrates of the City District Government Lahore (CDGL) continued action against profiteers and arrested 66 people for overcharging here Friday.
Officials said a total 669 raids were conducted across the city and price control magistrates arrested 66 people out of which 20 were sent to jail by the magistrates after hearing them on the spot. A fine of total of Rs17,500 was also imposed on the profiteers. Lahore DCO Muhammad Usman directed the price control magistrates to ensure action against profiteers. He warned the officials that strict action would be taken against those who will not go out in field.
