Sogetsu Ikebana exhibition attracts viewers

LAHORE:A grand annual exhibition of Sogetsu Ikebana attracted a large number of viewers here on Monday.

Walled City of Lahore Authority Director General Kamran Lashari inaugurated the event. On the occasion, Naveen Syed explained that Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It is a disciplined form of the art bringing together peace and serenity to the human soul. It relaxes the body and mind, shared Naveen Syed.

She added that the exhibition was bringing together the experience of the mountains peace and serenity in the form of beautiful floral installation. She further explained, walk into world of Sogetsu Ikebana and experience the assortment of beautiful blossoms in the form of exquisite arrangements. She taught her students that how to make create art from flowers, leaf, stones etc. By this ways, students feel exalted and encouraged. By this art, the women get happiness and peace of mind. The number of students is increasing on daily basis. By this art, students are given opportunities to show their art. Furthermore, she added that it provides opportunities of diplomatic relations with other countries.
