Lawyers observe strike

CHAKWAL: On the call of the Punjab Bar Council lawyers of Chakwal district Thursday observed a complete strike against the murder of advocate Mushtaq Ahmed.
No lawyer appeared before courts of Chakwal, Talagang and Choa Saidan Shah.
Litigants suffered due to strike.
District Bar president Khawaja Ashgar Farooq and secretary general Chaudhry Azhar Hussain demanded immediate arrest killers.
POWER THIEF BOOKED: Sadr police Thursday booked a power thief.
On the report of SDO Wapda Jawaid Hussain, police booked accused Ghulam Shabir, of Dharabi village, on charges of stealing electricity. The accused also gave illegal connection to his neighbor Ibrar Hussain.
CHARAS RECOVERED: Kallar Kahar police recovered 230 gram charas from the accused in separate raids.
Police recovered 110 gram charas from accused Saleem Aslam, of Bharpur village and 120 gram charas from accused Abdul Rauf.
Separate cases were registered against the accused and they were sent into judicial lockup.
