President fixes term of FSC CJ

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain, on the advice of prime minister, has approved fixation of term of Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan, Chief Justice, Federal Shariat Court, for a period of three years. The summary was initiated by the Ministry of Law. The fixation of term is w.e.f the date he takes oath of his office or till the holder of the office reaches the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.President Mamnoon Hussain also approved the prime minister’s advice for the appointment of nine Members of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) for a period of three years. The summary was initiated by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights. The appointments would be w.e.f the date of assumption of the charge.
