British MP meets Shujaat, Pervaiz Elahi
LAHORE
British Parliament member Khalid Mahmud called on Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) president and former prime minister Ch Shujaat Hussain and senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi at their residence on Thursday.
Views were exchanged on various matters of mutual interest and problems of Pakistanis working abroad and immigrants. The British MP, Khalid Mahmud, appreciated the measures and facilities provided for welfare and well-being of their Pakistani brothers working and residing abroad during prime minister ship of Ch Shujaat Hussain and chief minister ship of Ch Pervaiz Elahi and said the overseas Pakistanis still remember these measures and facilities.
Ch Shujaat Hussain and Ch Pervaiz Elahi said overseas Pakistanis have an important role in the economy of Pakistan, protection of their interests abroad and in Pakistan should be first duty of the government.
