JIT to submit Pathankot attack report to PM soon
ISLAMABAD: The joint investigation team (JIT) has almost finalised its report on the Pathankot Airbase attack and will furnish it with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif shortly.
During its stay in India, the JIT interviewed 13 people. The Indian authorities told the JIT that a total of four terrorists carried out the attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) inspector general, who was the focal person, facilitated the JIT.
A senior member of JIT told The News said that the Indian authorities not only extended them full support, but also honoured them. Out of 13 witnesses who recorded their statements at the NIA headquarter with the JIT SP Singh claimed that when his car was snatched he was roaming in another district in his private car without uniform due to which terrorists could not know his exact identification.
