CM’s aide visits rain-hit areas
PESHAWAR: Advisor to Caretaker Chief Minister on Tourism, Culture and Archeology Zafar Mahmood on Monday visited Sayedan Achhari and Kot areas in Mansehra which were hit by heavy rains recently.
During the visit, he expressed grief over the loss of lives and damage to properties. He assessed the damage to highways, gardens, livestock and other properties due to the flash floods in the affected areas, said a handout.
Zafar Mahmood said the caretaker government would spare no effort to mitigate the sufferings of the local people and provide them relief. The advisor to the chief minister directed the authorities to clean the rivers and canals and remove the encroachments. The local people asked him to ensure the construction and repair of various highways and bridges to prevent accidents.
